Why are we comfortable charging only 2% commission?

The process for listing properties is far less time consuming and much more automated than it was twenty years ago. We save loads of time on marketing because we delegate to professional photographers, videographers, and digital editors. And, we save more hours of work by utilizing modern technology including digital signatures, publishing software, and other automated online technologies. We create premium marketing and take advantage of standard listing portals such as Zillow and Realtor.com.

Other agents can still be slow to adapt to these platforms and technology, but we know it’s where buyers go to find listings.

How do we pass the savings onto our clients?

Using modern technology allows us to streamline our systems, making it easy to offer a reduced commission to every client. Traditionally, commissions are often split 3% to the listing agent and 3% to the buyer’s agent – for a total of 6%.

But with our tech-savvy model, we list property for just 2%, which saves you 1% on the listing side.

We still recommend offering 3% to buyer agents, which brings the total commission to 5% instead of 6% like other agents. Overall – 1% really adds up quickly – and these savings would mean $3,000 left in your pocket on a $300,000 property.

How much more can you save when we handle both sides of a transaction?

We offer even more savings on commission when we list the property AND assist the buyer. In other words, if a buyer is not already represented by an agent, we will discount our commission another 1% on the listing side for a total combined commission of 4% instead of 6%… saving the seller a total of $6,000 on a $300,000 property. This is called a variable rate commission and we consider it a win – win.

Do Other companies offer this savings?

Not many companies offer this additional savings, and it’s important to note that when we do assist the buyer we still only represent the seller in the transaction. We always work on the seller’s behalf to get the best possible price and terms.

Are Our Fees Really Lower?

Very few agents offer a reduced commission up front like the ListPro Team does, and even fewer discount commissions even more when bringing the buyer. It is our way of thanking the seller for allowing us to list their home. Our company charges a $395 Broker Administrative Commission, but once again this is less than what most companies charge.
